Safety Instructors wanted -
1 or 2 days per month
AFSI has openings for instructors
in some major US metro areas.
Most classes are on Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9am to 5pm. You must
love teaching, have a background in food protection/public
health and/or retail food service and have a reliable car.
RS/REHS, CFSP, state Sanitarian credential, RN, MD, DO, MPH, or
RD/LD preferred. Great for retired health department or medical
professionals and science teachers. AFSI provides paid training,
good support and all teaching materials.
Our program is similar to the Restaurant Association programs,
except we stress student discussions instead of games/exercises.
We also give our
students blunt, true/scientific reasons why foodborne pathogens must be controlled.
