| At
AFSI, we feel it is our obligation to you to tell the truth
about foodborne illness. We have worked with the media
to bring many positive aspects of the foodservice industry
when the media covers food service business.
For example, on a recent TV
segment where spoiled seafood was being sold to the public, we
helped provide coverage about how food seafood businesses
maintain safety and quality. On another segment that
covered outbreaks at catered events, we worked with the media
to list a number of caterers who had exceptional inspection
scores and no history of foodborne outbreaks.
As an AFSI student of graduate,
you can fee a unique sense of pride in supporting an
organization that fights foodborne illness and promotes good
food service service businesses through education in many
ways, including honest and knowledgeable media coverage.
